Healthcare Leader/Nurse for Stroke and Medicine Department

We are looking for a driven and responsible healthcare leader/nurse for a fixed-term position on our stroke and medicine department.

About Us

We are a stroke department that is documented as one of the best in Sweden. The care we provide has been recognized by Riksstroke (the National Stroke Register) for two consecutive years, a national quality register in which we are active. We are very proud of these recognitions, and in 2023, we achieved our goal and were named Stroke Unit of the Year 2023.

We work in teams consisting of doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, discharge coordinators, rehabilitation staff, and medical secretaries.

Here, you will have the opportunity to combine clinical work with leadership in an operation characterized by high competence, patient focus, and close collaboration between different professions.

As a healthcare leader, you play a central role in daily operations and work to ensure good and safe care for our patients. You serve as a support for employees in their daily work and contribute to developing the quality of care and work processes.

You should be curious, flexible, and able to adapt to a varied workload and pace. To ensure you get the best possible start with us, we offer individually tailored onboarding. We also have a stroke nurse and a nursing assistant with extended responsibilities available as support. We support and help each other!

Your Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the daily care work on the department.
• Be a support for nurses and other employees in clinical and organizational matters.
• Participate in patient care and contribute nursing expertise.
• Collaborate with doctors, rehabilitation staff, and other professions to ensure person-centered care.
• Handle incoming synergies on the department in consultation with the unit manager.
• Act as the responsible nurse for medications on the department.
• Plan and conduct introductions for new nurses and students.
• Instruct employees in, among other things, the handling of medical technical equipment.
• Assist in creating job descriptions, routines, and instructions for the department. Ensure that current routines are up to date.
• Be responsible for medical technical material/equipment.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. You have experience working in medical inpatient care, preferably stroke care. You have good collaboration skills and a professional attitude.

• You are structured, solution-oriented, and confident in your professional role.
• You have an interest in leadership and operational development.

Employment Type

Fixed-term position with start date as agreed, with the possibility of becoming a permanent position in the future. Working hours are Monday to Friday.
