The clinic is located at Ludvika Hospital in new premises that provide a calm and pleasant environment. The workplace has a good atmosphere, an open climate, and good collegial cooperation. The clinic consists of approximately 35 employees, including nurses, care assistants, counselors, licensed psychotherapists, psychologists, doctors, occupational therapists, medical secretaries, and managers. The clinic has broad specialist psychiatric competence and works in a cross-professional manner. The patient groups we meet have various psychiatric conditions such as psychosis, bipolar disorder, neuropsychiatric disabilities, PTSD, as well as more severe anxiety and depression disorders.

We work daytime, Monday to Friday, with one hour for lunch and the possibility of flexible hours if the work allows. We actively work with wellness and working environment. At the hospital, there is access to a gym and wellness offerings that provide various organized sessions. A cross-country skiing track is located near the hospital, and there are several ski slopes for downhill skiing in the vicinity. There are also many lakes for swimming and fishing, as well as forests for walking and cycling.

As a health and social care counselor with us, you have a central role in the patient's treatment and recovery. You work with psychosocial support and treatment for patients with various forms of mental ill health.

The duties include among other things:

• psychosocial mapping and assessment
• supportive and therapeutic conversations
• crisis processing and counseling
• work with motivation, coping strategies, and recovery
• collaboration with relatives, municipalities, authorities, and other care providers
• participation in team conferences and treatment planning

You will meet patients with, for example, depression, anxiety, stress-related ill health, neuropsychiatric disabilities, and other mental health issues.

Requirements:

• Completed education as a licensed health and social care counselor
• Interest in psychiatry
