The Clinic of Anesthesia, Surgery, and Intensive Care provides emergency and planned surgical care, anesthesia, postoperative care, intensive care for children and adults, and sterile technical services at the regional and county level. This is done in close collaboration and in partnership with other clinics in the county. The clinic is also responsible for air transport intensive care in the north, as well as conducting research, development, and education.

At Operation 3, we work with highly specialized cancer surgery and vascular surgery. This includes upper gastrointestinal surgery such as pancreatic, liver, and esophageal resections. Colorectal surgery, gynecology, urology, and endocrine surgery such as breast and thyroid operations. Advanced vascular surgery such as abdominal aorta and carotid surgery. Robotic surgery is part of our operations, within urology, gynecology, and colon surgery. We are also responsible for organ donation and multi-trauma care.

Operation 3 in Umeå is now looking for perioperative nurses. Every day, we work together in cross-professional teams and across departmental boundaries to save, improve, and extend lives. Job Description

As a perioperative nurse with us, you contribute knowledge and commitment that makes people feel safe.

In the role of perioperative nurse with us, you are responsible for the patient's safety, good care, and nursing before and during the operation within your specialty area. You work independently while being part of an operating team. Norrlands University Hospital is a teaching hospital, so student supervision is also included. Supervising students gives us the opportunity to keep ourselves updated regarding routines and treatments for our patients.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with further education in perioperative care. Previous experience as a perioperative nurse is meritorious.

You are a structured and receptive person who has the ability to stay one step ahead and thereby contribute to a successful operation. You have a good ability to collaborate with others while being independent. You manage to handle tasks in parallel and quickly adjust and adapt to what the situation requires.
