The Malmö Academy of Music is looking for a Service Technician

The Academy's Work Group for Operations and Property Services (VFS) is responsible for meeting the Academy's service needs, including but not limited to:

• Local and property issues such as maintenance, security, fire protection, and accessibility
• Office furniture and equipment
• Teaching equipment, stage equipment, and musical instruments
• Support before and after concerts, events, and lessons
• Mail and package handling

Currently, VFS consists of a team leader, two service technicians, a receptionist, and a security coordinator. The two service technicians have tasks more focused on operations and property services.

The Malmö Academy of Music now wishes to hire a service technician placed within VFS with special responsibility for orchestra printing. Orchestra printing is an important part of VFS's efforts before concerts with the Academy's Symphony Orchestra.

You will collaborate closely with the symphony orchestra's project manager and the Faculty of Fine Arts' library. To succeed in this role, technical knowledge in IT and reproduction, as well as very good skills in reading orchestra scores, are required.

You should be accustomed to working in a project-oriented and solution-focused manner, be flexible, and have a good ability to collaborate with others.

To be considered for the position, the following requirements are necessary:

• Very good knowledge of reading orchestra scores.
• Practical experience with the entire printing process from digital source to bound sheet music, including handling files on computers and printers, scanning, ordering materials, ring binding, and archiving.
• You must be an independent problem solver and solution-focused.
• Good ability to communicate verbally and in writing in Swedish and English.
• Good general computer skills.

The following are meritorious:

• Experience working in projects.
• Experience working in music pedagogical activities.
• Experience in musical performance based on orchestra or choir scores.
• Experience with Adobe software.
• Academic education in music.

The Faculty of Fine Arts in Malmö is one of nine faculties within Lund University and consists of the University of Music and Drama, as well as the Inter Arts Center. At the Faculty of Fine Arts, there are bachelor's, master's, and PhD programs in fine arts, music, and theater, as well as a number of courses of varying scope.
