Specialist Nurse Wanted for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

Are you a specialist nurse in psychiatry and would you like to work in a setting where security, teamwork, and family-centered care are the focus?

We are now looking for an experienced nurse for an assignment within child and adolescent psychiatric emergency care during the autumn of 2026.

About the Assignment

You will work on an inpatient ward for children and adolescents requiring acute psychiatric care and treatment.

The work includes, among other things:

• Psychiatric nursing and observation
• Supportive conversations
• Medication management
• Collaboration with guardians and family
• Crisis and emergency handling
• Cooperation with a multidisciplinary team

The unit works in close proximity to the emergency department and on-call services, meaning a varied and developing role where patient safety and secure care are central.

Period & Scope

• Period: Week 36–40
• Scope: Approximately 320 hours
• Working hours according to schedule; evenings, nights, and weekends may occur

We are looking for you who

• Are a registered nurse with specialist education in psychiatry
• Have experience in child and adolescent psychiatry or psychiatric inpatient care
• Are confident in acute psychiatric situations
• Have good collaboration skills and a professional approach
• Enjoy working closely with both patients and relatives

Meritorious:

• Experience working in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP)
• Experience in acute psychiatry
• Experience with medical record systems in psychiatric care

Requirements for Presentation

The following documents need to be available for presentation:

• Updated CV
• Specialist Nurse degree
• Adult CPR training certificate
• Two current references from your most recent assignment or employment
