Your role with us

As a Procurement Specialist at VA SYD, you will become an important part of our team with the mission to secure commercial procurements that lead to long-term sustainable contracts for all parties. You will drive procurement processes from planning and needs analysis to contracts in collaboration with colleagues and other expert competencies.

You will primarily work with VA SYD's procurements of goods and services as well as construction contracts.

Examples of tasks and areas of responsibility include:

• planning procurements within your area
• driving the entire procurement process - from needs analysis to finished contract
• actively contributing to the development of VA SYD's strategic and tactical purchasing work, as well as further developing efficient work processes, methods, and templates
• ensuring that procurements comply with both LUF (the Swedish Public Procurement Act) and our own requirements for sustainability and commercial viability
• being a secure support to the operations in procurement and contract matters
• contributing to the implementation and follow-up of new contracts.

The role is located in the Procurement Unit, which is part of the Finance Department. In close collaboration with the operations, the unit procures contracts for goods and services, IT, as well as infrastructure and construction contracts. The unit is in an exciting development phase, where improvement work is ongoing with the goal of achieving more strategic purchasing. You will have great opportunities to influence and shape the development of strategic purchasing at VA SYD.

You are structured and enjoy working with great personal responsibility, but at the same time with very little hierarchy, in an operation that is constantly developing. You are not afraid to take your own initiatives and make decisions in daily work. You will have both internal and external contacts and the job requires responsiveness, goal focus, and the ability to see solutions and opportunities.

It is a matter of course for you to deliver high-quality procurements based on the operation's needs. The role requires a good ability to communicate in Swedish both orally and in writing.

Your experience

As a Procurement Specialist, we are looking for you who have:

• a university education in, for example, economics, law, technology, or another relevant direction
• several years of experience independently driving procurements according to LUF and/or LOU (the Swedish Public Procurement Act)
• experience in business negotiations
• experience in drawing up and interpreting contract terms
• A driver's license (Category B) is not a requirement, but facilitates travel to our facilities
