161. Stril Battalion operates around the clock, year-round, and is a central part of Sweden's air defense. We are now looking for a civilian material handler at the FM facility in Bålsta who wants to contribute to developing and ensuring the battalion's material and logistics services.
About the unit
161. Stril Battalion belongs to the Uppland Air Force Wing F 16 and is responsible for combat control and air surveillance. The unit operates in several locations in Sweden and forms an important part of Sweden's and NATO's joint air defense.
The position is located at the FM facility in Bålsta, where the operation is conducted in a complex and security-classified environment with high demands on coordination, flexibility, and responsibility.
Main responsibilities
As a material handler, you work with coordinating, following up, and supporting the operation within material and logistics services. You will be an important support function for the company and battalion within, among other things, material administration, orders, inventories, and follow-ups.
The duties include, among other things:
- Material management in the Swedish Armed Forces' support systems PRIO and LIFT
- Ordering, follow-up, and inventory of materials
- Handling of TO and other material-related matters
- Coordination of the operation's needs within material and logistics
- Administration of vehicles, rental cars, and other shared resources
- Coordination and follow-up of training and qualifications
- Support in fire protection, environmental, and safety work
- Administrative support to the operation within, for example, telephony, IT, and shared resources
- Collaboration with internal and external support functions
- Other recurring tasks within staff and service based on operational needs
The work is carried out in close cooperation with several functions within the battalion and places high demands on a service-oriented attitude, structure, and the ability to independently drive tasks forward.

REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Experience of administrative work within logistics, materials, or service
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Experience of working in the Swedish Armed Forces' support systems PRIO and/or LIFT
- Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish
- Basic knowledge of English
- Category B driver's license

QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience of working within the Swedish Armed Forces
- Experience of material and logistics services in security-classified operations
- Experience of inventory, ordering, and follow-up of materials
- Experience of working with SBA, environmental, or fire protection work
- Qualification or experience within IFTEX and/or BVKF
- Experience of service and coordination work
- Forklift license and military vehicle qualifications
- Experience of supporting several operational areas simultaneously

Employment type: Permanent. The Swedish Armed Forces may apply a six-month probationary period.
Employment level: Full-time
Place of work: Bålsta. F 16 also has operations in other locations, which may involve occasional business trips.
Working hours: Mainly daytime. Evening and weekend duty may occur during training activities.
