Responsibilities

As a music teacher at Stenhamreskolan, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating music education according to the curriculum for grades 4–9. You create lessons that engage and inspire students to musical creation and understanding. You lead and organize music performances, concerts, and other music events that give students the opportunity to show their knowledge and express themselves creatively. You are responsible for the maintenance and use of the school's instruments and music-related equipment. An important part of your work is also to collaborate with colleagues to integrate the subject of music into the school's other activities and values. You have regular contact with students' guardians to inform about development and activities. Furthermore, you are expected to participate actively in the school's further education, development work, and team meetings to contribute to a positive and professional work environment.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a teacher education with a specialization in music and are qualified to teach music in grades 4–9 of the compulsory school. It is meritorious if you have experience of teaching in these grades as well as experience of arranging and leading music performances. We value that you are creative, engaged, and flexible with the ability to adapt your teaching to students' different needs and prerequisites. You should be a confident and clear educator who can create good relationships and a safe, respectful learning environment where every student feels seen and stimulated. You are unpretentious, open to new knowledge, and wish to actively contribute to the school's development and good work climate.

Conditions

The position is a permanent employment. Probationary period may be applied according to the current collective agreement. The employment follows Ljusdal Municipality's current salary and employment conditions.
