Your new workplace

Vallens School, located 10 minutes from Sundsvall, beautifully situated with a fantastic surroundings. Here, 175 students from grades F-6 (Preschool Class to Grade 6) attend school. Our work is characterized by a systematic focus on reading, writing, and mathematics, where screening and analysis conversations are used to identify needs early and follow each student's development. We work in a subject-teacher system, which means that each teacher is responsible for the subjects they have been assigned. In the F-3 work team, two teachers share teaching and mentorship in a two-teacher system. Vallen actively works for a sense of "we," where collaboration and cooperation are key words.

We strive for close collaboration with the students, where we work for the students' well-being, development, and learning through our combined strengths and competencies. Our systematic quality work is based on identified needs in the operations. Through our working method, the work team conducts school development in a concrete way in everyday life to create positive effects on students' learning.

How you contribute in the role of teacher

Your main tasks will be teaching and mentorship in Grade 1. You will be part of the Swedish/Social Studies subject team as well as the F-3 work team. As a teacher with us, you take responsibility for being a secure role model, a clear leader, and actively contribute to the school's development.

Your competence and experience

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with the qualification to teach Swedish, Mathematics, Natural Science, and Social Studies in Grade 1. Engaged with a formative approach; your teaching is based on scientific foundation and proven experience. Good ability to collaborate and experience working in subject teams and work teams. Structured in planning and follow-up as well as the ability to adapt teaching to students' needs. You contribute to a secure and inclusive learning environment where student participation and learning are in focus.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability and that you have good cooperation with colleagues and the principal.
