We are looking for a Child Health Center Nurse who wants to work in a stable and well-functioning operation in Västerås. We work in close collaboration with each other to create secure meetings with our visitors. We welcome your application!

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for you who are trained as a district nurse or specialist nurse with a focus on healthcare for children and young people, and who want to help develop our operations. Here you will work in a stable and committed work group where quality, continuity, and patient focus are central parts of the daily work.

As a pediatric nurse/district nurse at the Child Health Center (BVC), you work in premises consisting of the child health center and a midwife clinic. In the same building, there is a Family Center with an open preschool and family support where we collaborate regarding families.

The work consists of preventive health checks, developmental assessments, vaccinations according to the child health care basic program, and home visits. We work based on national guidelines. We work together with parent groups and families who need extra support. You work both independently and in close collaboration with other colleagues. We value a structured working method and active improvement work, where you as an employee have the opportunity to influence and contribute to the development of the operations.

About the Workplace

The 11 region-run health centers as well as the health centers' emergency clinics in Västmanland are run as an intrapreneurship with its own board and Region Västmanland as the owner. The operations are gathered under the name Närvården Västmanland, and together we work to offer accessible and quality primary care throughout the county. We continuously invest in the development of our workplaces to meet the primary care of the future.

Närvården Viksäng-Irsta is one of these health centers, and the operations also have a branch clinic in Irsta. The health center is established in an area with good accessibility, close to both the center and transportation. Adjacent to the health center, there is parking and good bus connections.

We are responsible for approximately 15,800 registered patients and offer doctor and district nurse clinics, maternal and child health care, as well as rehabilitation with a physiotherapist, occupational therapist, counseling clinic, and dietitian. Our work is based on the patient's needs with a focus on continuity, quality, and security.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who

• are a licensed nurse with further education as a district nurse and/or specialist education in healthcare for children and young people
• have knowledge to work independently as a nurse/district nurse for children and young people at a health center,
• preferably have education in EPDS, hearing tests, language/communication, and MI, and have experience as a parent group leader,
• have experience with the medical record system Cosmic and good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written,
• are secure and stable in your professional role, with good collaboration skills and a professional approach,
• work in a structured manner, take responsibility for your tasks, and contribute to a good work climate,
• have the ability to adapt to changed circumstances and meet patients and colleagues with respect and sensitivity.

We place great emphasis on personal qualities and value commitment and a positive attitude in work. A Category B driver's license is desirable for the position.

The position is a permanent full-time position with start date as agreed.
