Job Description

As a chef, you will be offered a developing role where you prepare good, safe, and healthy meals for our patients at Östra Hospital and Kungälv Hospital. Together with your colleagues, you ensure that the residents of Västra Götaland are met with a well-functioning healthcare and care system. The work as a chef is varied, and you will work with everything from daily planning and preparation of meals and special diets to responsibility for follow-up and self-control. Your competence will be an important part of the development work for sustainable meal production.

The work is scheduled during daytime hours, Monday to Sunday. As we are a large team, a rotating schedule is applied, meaning start and end times vary depending on the week's schedule.

To contribute to good service in the role of chef, you need:

• have a strong commitment and interest in food
• be meticulous and responsible
• have a good attitude and work well with others
• be flexible and have the ability to switch between different tasks

We are looking for you with a high school education in restaurant and food, or an equivalent education. You have worked for a few years as a chef and have experience with personalized meal solutions as well as knowledge of food allergies. You are accustomed to working with conceptual cooking via recipes and have a creative ability to utilize overproduced food/meals.

Furthermore, you must be able to communicate fluently in Swedish in dialogue with colleagues and customers, as well as follow oral and written work instructions. You have the physical capacity required to walk and stand throughout the workday, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks. Naturally, you have current knowledge of food hygiene and understand the importance of performing the work with high quality.

Previous experience in large-scale kitchens with distribution, allergies, and special diets is considered an advantage.

The position is fixed-term with an immediate start until 2026-08-31.
