With the start of the autumn term, we are now seeking temporary kitchen staff for our kitchens within Meals Service in Lerum Municipality.

As a temporary worker, you will be employed through Lerum Municipality's Staffing Unit. The assignments cover when regular staff is absent, which can be for short-term cover or longer assignments.

How it works:
You will be employed intermittently (as a temp) and receive ongoing requests for work shifts – sometimes on the same day, sometimes with longer notice. You indicate your availability for work in our digital booking system, where you can also express interest in specific shifts.

As a temp, work assignments may vary from day to day, and you can work in different kitchens throughout the municipality. Working hours are daytime on weekdays, but weekends in nursing home kitchens may also occur.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You contribute to making every meal a positive and pleasant experience for our guests.

You work according to the municipality's vision with a focus on ecological purchases, reduced food waste, and climate-smart meals. Your duties include dishwashing, cleaning, as well as receiving and handling goods deliveries.

If you have previous experience and/or training as a kitchen assistant, more tasks may be included, such as:

• Preparation of cold sauces, dressings, raw food, and salads
• Preparation of side dishes for meals
• Baking of bread

QUALIFICATIONS

Who are you?
We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, service-oriented, and responsible. You work in a structured manner, collaborate well with others, and have the ability to switch between different tasks without losing quality or pace.

We would appreciate if you have:

• Experience working in large-scale kitchens
• Knowledge of special diets
• Training as a kitchen assistant
• Knowledge of food hygiene and self-control programs

Since documentation and communication are part of the job, you need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, as well as good computer skills.

Since the position involves work in schools and preschools, a valid extract from the Police's criminal record register for "Work in school or preschool" is required.
