Role: Café Manager at Gymnasium Skövde

In this role, you will become part of the Child and Education Sector. At our organization, the development of children and young people is at the forefront. Gymnasium Skövde is the collective name for the municipality's two upper secondary schools, Kavelbro and Västerhöjd. Together, the schools offer 16 national upper secondary programs, introductory programs with various specializations, as well as an adapted upper secondary school with three national programs and an individual program. We also offer national sports education programs in handball and football. The schools have a broad international network and exchange with other countries. RESPONSIBILITIES

You now have the opportunity to apply for an exciting and developmental role as Café Manager at Café Höjdpunkten on Västerhöjd.

As Café Manager, you are responsible for the daily operations of the café and contribute to a pleasant environment for both students and staff at the school. Your responsibilities include, among other things:

• Staff and manage the café's daily operations
• Prepare sandwiches, simple pastries, and serving products
• Handle sales and cash register duties
• Order goods and maintain inventory and assortment
• Dishwashing and keeping the café and lounge areas clean
• Ensure that common areas are welcoming and pleasant

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have basic skills through education and/or work experience, as well as experience from working in a café, kitchen, shop, or restaurant.

You have knowledge of food handling and hygiene routines and feel confident working in a service-oriented environment. As a person, you are communicative and outgoing with a positive attitude towards both students and staff at the school.

You are quick to learn, pick up new tasks rapidly, and thrive in a role where the pace may vary. Furthermore, you are flexible and able to adapt to the needs of the business while working in a structured manner and taking responsibility for your tasks both independently and in collaboration with others.

The position is a part-time employment (75%) until 2014-06-27.

Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer, start date: 2026-08-12.

To begin working in preschool, school, after-school centers, and other pedagogical activities, you are required to show an extract from your criminal record. The extract is valid for one year and can be ordered from the Swedish Police Authority (www.polisen.se (http://www.polisen.se)).

Anyone who has not shown an extract from the criminal record cannot be employed, engaged, or admitted to the activity according to current legal requirements.
