The Environmental and Urban Planning Administration drives the municipality's urban planning, environmental and nature conservation work, and is responsible for a good and sustainable living environment for Salem's residents. We are approximately 50 employees working on behalf of the Municipal Executive Board, the Technical Committee, and the Building and Environment Committee. The position of Business Developer reports to the Head of Administration and is located in a unit consisting of a Business Developer, a Committee Secretary, and a Registrar.

Job Description

We are looking for a substitute Business Developer who wants to drive and coordinate our development work at the Environmental and Urban Planning Administration.

As a Business Developer, you will work closely with the management group to prepare strategic decisions and have great opportunities to influence. You lead and coordinate the administration's goal and steering process and support the work with business planning, follow-up, and environmental scanning.

You will coordinate and drive administration-wide development work together with managers and operations, as well as contribute with methodological support within change management and business development. In the work, digitalization and AI are important areas.

As a Business Developer at Salem Municipality, you are part of a network of Business Developers who work together on environmental scanning and municipality-wide change and development. The network provides broad insight into the municipality's operations and serves as a support in the work with business development, even within your own administration.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a relevant university or college degree. You have experience in coordinating and driving business development and change processes with participants from different operations.

You have a good ability to analyze, structure, and present complex information. Experience of goal management and business development through digitalization and AI is meritorious.

We see that you have a good analytical ability, which can easily put you into different contexts and issues and has the ability to see both the big picture and the details. You are responsible, structured, and have a drive that makes you get things done in an efficient and well-thought-out way. To succeed in your assignment, you need to be communicative and have the ability to work both independently and collaborate well in a group.

Employment Conditions

The position is a fixed-term full-time employment until August 2027. Appointment according to agreement. Last application date 2026-06-14.
