Our municipality, and thus our operations, is growing and we need more educators. In the education department, we work according to a common thread, a shared view on development and learning with a democratic value base in all our operations. In Ånge Municipality, we train all staff in neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPD) to ensure our operations are NPD-safe, we train all staff in mental training as well as in what a language and knowledge-developing working method (SKUA) is and entails. To Ånge Primary School, we are looking for a teacher in Science and Mathematics for the autumn term 2026.

Ånge Primary School consists of two buildings but is one school, Björken (Pre-school/Pre-school class, grades 1-5) and Ugglan (grades 6-9). Ånge Primary School currently has approximately 370 students. The principals share the ambition to lead and distribute the work at the schools based on trust and confidence. We have high expectations of ourselves as well as of each employee. Ånge Primary School is organized with teaching teachers as well as teacher resources, playground teachers, and a student health team. The playground teachers work at the after-school center in the afternoons; during the school day, they are a source of security and a resource in the classroom. The playground teachers offer organized break activities during the students' breaks. The student health team includes counselors, school nurses, special education teachers, career counselors, and principals; we also have access to a school psychologist and a speech therapist. Every week, the student health team participates in student health meetings (EHM) with the work teams as well as in student health team meetings (EHT). We collaborate with Social Services, the Child and Youth Entrance, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (CAP), Rehabilitation, Health Centers, Police, and others. The school is located in Ånge center, which means we are within walking distance to an ice hall, football fields, athletics track, riding arena, disc golf, outdoor gym, multisport arena, gym, jogging trail, forest, green areas, hiking trails, swimming area, library, community house/civic center with cinema, theater workshop, music school/culture school, municipal office, train and bus station, numerous shops, restaurants, and cafes. We have good opportunities for collaboration with business life and club life. We have good commuting options by train from both Östersund and Sundsvall, within walking distance to the school. Your employment is within education in Ånge Municipality.

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher in Mathematics/Science, regardless of whether you have qualifications in one or several Science subjects. You have a low-affective approach and a good ability to create good relationships with both students, guardians, as well as colleagues and management. You have a positive and inclusive attitude where you put the student's best interest in focus. You have good problem-solving skills, collaboration skills, and social competence; you are flexible and loyal. Based on trust-based steering and leadership, we expect you to take individual responsibility within given frameworks. You work for predictability, clarity, security, and participation. You are convinced that the quality of teaching makes a difference and that teaching therefore needs to be differentiated so that all students can reach as far as possible in their learning.
