We handle the entire primary care mandate, so your work will be varied with breadth and diversity within the entire field of general practice. Becoming a specialist in general practice involves meeting and treating all types of patients, from young to old. This is a challenge that requires both high competence and experience. The work is built on good and long-term relationships with patients, which is valuable and contributes to creating safe and secure care.

Närvården's health centers have a clear educational focus, and as a junior doctor (ST) in general practice, you will receive a clear training plan tailored to your needs. We are looking for someone who is curious and wants to develop medically and professionally – at Ullvi Tuna, you will get the support you need. Continuous supervision both at the health center and during your placements at various clinics provides the support needed for you to feel secure and grow in your role.

We believe in an open consultation climate. As an ST-physician, you should never feel alone in your decisions. We are open to incorporating any specific interests or areas you wish to explore that could benefit both you and our operations, based on training criteria. For example, there may be opportunities to work at a rural health center during a short internal rotation.

We require a high sense of responsibility, good collaboration both internally and externally, as well as flexibility. Your duties include both scheduled appointments and acute care flows. Some communication with patients also takes place via 1177 in the form of chat or e-services, and we see that digital working methods will increase and develop rapidly in the future.

You will work both independently and in a team with other staff categories at the unit, and improvement work is an important part of daily operations. With us, you become an important part of the whole, where we together create a strong team spirit and a wonderful sense of community.

About the workplace

The 11 region-run health centers and their emergency clinics in Västmanland are operated as an intrapreneurship with a board and Region Västmanland as the owner. The operations are gathered under the name Närvården Västmanland, and together we work to offer accessible and high-quality primary care throughout the county. Närvården Ullvi Tuna is one of 11 health centers with just over 9,650 registered patients. The unit includes doctor and district nurse clinics, maternal and child health care, as well as a rehabilitation unit with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, counselors, and dietitians. We have specific staff trained in alcohol-related counseling, and our counseling therapist can offer internet-based CBT and ACT groups. Our common goal is to have a well-functioning staff that provides smooth and professional care with respectful treatment for an increasingly healthy population.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a valid Swedish medical license. Previous experience in primary care is meritorious. You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, and preferably experience with the medical record system Cosmic.

We are looking for someone who is curious, flexible, engaged, and wants to develop medically. You have personal maturity, meaning you are stable and confident in your profession, and you see the person you meet from their perspective with an empathetic sense. Your high sense of responsibility and flexibility allow you to adapt to changing circumstances, as anything can happen at a health center. The employees at the health center work closely together, and your good ability to collaborate with others is appreciated. You want to work with us to provide good, high-quality care. Contributing to the development of the operation is seen as a natural part of your work, and you find it easy to create good meetings. Terms of Employment

The position is a permanent full-time position. Start date according to agreement.

For those who will do basic training (BT) at the beginning of their ST, a fixed-term employment may initially be relevant with the goal of the employment transitioning to a permanent position. If you have completed your internship (AT), we can offer you a permanent position as an ST-physician.
