We are now looking for an engaged and creative textile craft teacher at Fuxernaskolan in Lilla Edet Municipality who wants to contribute to the students' learning, development, and sense of security.

Fuxernaskolan is a school for grades 7–9 with approximately 370 students, where security, study environment, and high teaching quality are the foundation for both students' learning and well-being. Here you will meet engaged colleagues, clear leadership, and a culture where we develop together – always with the student at the center.

With us, you will work in well-equipped craft classrooms with good conditions to create teaching where structure, creativity, and security work together so that every student succeeds.

We collaborate closely with Fuxerna Resource School, Adapted Primary School, and Fuxernaskolan F–6, which gives us a holistic view of the students' knowledge development and security throughout their entire school journey.

All teachers participate in the initiative Excellent Teaching, where we together develop teaching based on research, with a focus on strengthening students' learning, participation, and security in the classroom.

Your Role

As a craft teacher at Fuxernaskolan, you are responsible for both the quality of teaching and the students' holistic development. The assignment includes:

• Teaching craft in grades 4–9 as well as in adapted primary school and resource school.
• Planning, implementing, and following up on teaching with a focus on quality, progression, and creativity.
• Assessing students' knowledge and setting grades according to current regulatory documents.
• Documenting and analyzing students' knowledge development.
• Creating a good study environment through clear, secure, and low-affective leadership.
• Being a present and responsible adult who combines structure with sensitivity.
• Actively participating in the school's competence development work, including within Excellent Teaching.
• Having mentorship responsibilities as well as contact and collaboration with guardians.
• Collaborating in subject groups and work teams, and contributing to the school's systematic quality work.
• In daily work, you collaborate with the school's student coaches, who are responsible for the break areas and are present in the corridors together with the student health team. This contributes to a good study environment and gives teachers good conditions to focus on teaching and relationships in the classroom.

Who are you?

• Are a certified teacher with eligibility in craft.
• Have good knowledge of assessment and grading.
• Are confident in your assignment and lead teaching through clarity, structure, and calm.
• Work relationally and with low affective demands, even in challenging situations.
• Are flexible, solution-oriented, and professional.
• Have an interest in teaching development and want to contribute to high quality in craft teaching.
• Enjoy collegial learning and joint development work.

We place great importance on personal suitability and would like you to be a clear leader who can adapt your leadership style to the situation and student group.

Before employment, you must show a clean extract from the criminal record.
