This is a combined position covering afternoons/evenings and nights. The schedule includes afternoon/evening and night shifts plus weekends, as well as day shifts on public holidays.

A part-time position may be available if desired.

We are looking for engaged and reliable personal assistants for an 8-year-old boy who requires constant supervision and some care needs. Due to his illness, he has treatment-resistant epilepsy, an intellectual disability, and autism. He needs 24/7 supervision and an assistant who can create a calm and secure daily life.

About the boy:

The boy is a happy and charming young man who loves swimming and listening to music. He communicates partly with words and partly with body language. Previously, his primary language was sign language, which is still a help for him. Therefore, experience with sign language is a plus. His mood can change quickly, so it is important that you, as an assistant, have a calm and patient personality. Experience with low-arousal approaches and handling challenging behavior is desirable.

About the role:

As an assistant, you need to be attentive and stay one step ahead to minimize risks and create a safe daily life. The work takes place primarily in the home, which requires good collaboration skills, communication, and respectful treatment of both the boy and his family.

We would appreciate it if you had experience with personal assistance and epilepsy, but personal suitability is the most important factor.

Requirements and merits:

✔️ A driver's license is required as you will be transporting the client to and from school.
