The Unit for Industry Development and Preparedness is responsible for building knowledge, developing, and participating in policy development for industrial policy at the national and EU levels, as well as implementing measures to achieve the industrial policy goals in this area. The unit is also responsible for tasks related to its mandate as the preparedness authority for industry.

About the position

The position aims to strengthen Tillväxtverket in its tasks within total defense and preparedness, with a special focus on industry. You will help build, establish, and implement the unit's tasks as the preparedness authority for industry. You will work both independently and in teams with colleagues from different parts of the authority, in networks, and in close cooperation with other authorities, the business sector, as well as organizations and other relevant actors.

The mandate to strengthen the industry's ability in the event of crisis and war includes, among other things, monitoring, analyzing, and contributing to raising the industry's ability to function during crises and war. You will contribute to regular reporting and external communication, develop forms of cooperation regarding societal vital functions and supply preparedness, and design and establish processes, routines, exercises, etc.

The role involves outward-facing work, such as representing the authority in various contexts, designing and arranging events, and actively spreading knowledge that strengthens the development, competitiveness, and preparedness of industry in Sweden.

Since the mandate is still in a setup phase, there are great opportunities to influence the implementation of the tasks.

The position is security-classified and requires Swedish citizenship. Security clearance with background check will be conducted prior to employment according to Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act.

Your place of work will be: Gothenburg, Luleå, Stockholm, Malmö, Örebro, or Östersund.

Travel is included in the position.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A university or higher education degree equivalent to at least three years of study
• Several years of work experience from business life, industry, or business development in industry organizations or similar
• Experience working independently and with a development-oriented approach
• Experience analyzing and drawing conclusions in work contexts and adapting them to the implementation of tasks
• Experience in familiarizing yourself with different regulations to carry out assignments
• Ability to handle digital tools and work in digital environments
• Good communication skills in both spoken and written Swedish and English

The following are meritorious:

• Work experience within total defense and preparedness tasks, such as risk and vulnerability analyses, continuity planning, etc.
• Work requiring an understanding of industrial issues and industry actors
• Knowledge of business promotion organizations
• Work experience from politically governed organizations
• Experience with project management and/or project development
• Experience planning, implementing, reporting on, and following up on assignments and measures
• Experience in communication work, leading workshops, etc.
