Rosendal Gymnasium is a municipal upper secondary school characterized by strong engagement from both students and staff. We collaborate within teaching teams to ensure progression in education, and within subject communities to develop teaching methods, aiming to promote student learning and create a positive learning environment. The school is located near the Biomedical Center and currently has approximately 900 students distributed across three programs: the Natural Science program, the Social Science program, and the Introduction program.

Description of duties

As a subject teacher in mathematics with special educational needs qualifications, you will contribute to developing and refining the school's work to make mathematics teaching accessible to all students, in collaboration with knowledgeable and experienced colleagues. Together with the student health service and various school professionals, you will create the conditions necessary to achieve our goal that all students can succeed and feel successful.

The role includes providing support to educators and students, primarily in groups but also individually when necessary. You are expected to work actively with students in need of special support, offering suggestions for suitable strategies, methods, materials, and tools in dialogue with others. The position also includes regular mathematics teaching at both the primary and upper secondary levels.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a teaching license with eligibility to teach mathematics at the upper secondary level. Special educational needs qualifications in mathematics are considered an asset.

You have good pedagogical insight and a clear understanding of students' different prerequisites and ways of acquiring knowledge. You adapt teaching, working methods, and communication to create motivation, participation, and learning for all students. You are proactive, take responsibility for developing teaching, try out new methods, and drive pedagogical activities forward. Through your leadership in the classroom, you create structure, a quiet study environment, and a positive learning climate where students feel safe and engaged. You also have excellent collaboration skills and work closely with colleagues, the student health service, and school leadership to jointly contribute to students' knowledge development and the school's common goals.

Uppsala Municipality applies individual and differentiated salary setting according to the current collective agreement.

In your application, you must state your citizenship.
