We are looking for an experienced technical construction and testing manager for a long-term consulting assignment within major infrastructure projects in Gothenburg. This role is ideal for you if you have extensive experience in technical construction management, testing management, commissioning, and quality control within complex control and monitoring systems as well as water/sewage and ventilation systems in road constructions or similar technically complex infrastructure objects.

You will be part of an established project organization and work closely with project management, contractors, operations teams, and technical specialists. The assignment is operational, technical, and coordinating. You must be able to move freely between technology, construction law, document review, meetings, testing, inspections, and practical project progress.

Workplace and Scope

The assignment is primarily carried out in Gothenburg, Region Västra Götaland.

The scope is 100%.

Work is normally performed on regular weekdays, but evening, night, and weekend work may occur as production can take place during shutdowns and vacation periods.

Workplace and computer are provided within the assignment. You must be able to work efficiently in digital project environments and handle standard Office programs.

Main Responsibilities

As a technical construction and testing manager, you will among other things:

  • Participate in and, if necessary, lead testing within current projects.
  • Participate in inspections of control and monitoring systems, water/sewage/ventilation systems, and environmental monitoring systems.
  • Review technical documents, technical deliveries, and other project documentation.
  • Be involved in coordination with other technical areas.
  • Participate in and lead technical meetings with the contractor.
  • Support project management in contract control, construction meetings, and follow-up.
  • Prepare materials for meetings, reports, and decisions.
  • Assist in planning, design, and implementation of reinvestment and new investment assignments.
  • Participate in dialogue with internal and external specialists in control and monitoring systems, water/sewage/ventilation systems, and environmental monitoring systems.
  • Lead or participate in the investigation of technical issues and solutions.
  • Review and approve deliveries in the form of documentation or similar.
  • Monitor that the contractor's self-control, quality programs, and environmental programs are followed.
  • Ensure that handover to the managing organization occurs according to established routines.

Requirements

To be considered for the role, you must meet all the following requirements:

  • You have a valid Class B driver's license.
  • You can communicate fluently in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
  • You can handle Microsoft Office or equivalent programs.
  • You are a technical university engineer with at least 180 ECTS credits, or have other education and experience deemed equivalent.
  • You have at least 4 years of experience, equivalent to at least 2,000 hours, in the role of construction manager or other supervisory function within multiple technical areas.
  • Your experience covers both complex control and monitoring systems and water/sewage/ventilation systems.
  • Your experience relates to building and civil engineering works for infrastructure objects on roads or very close technically complex infrastructure.
  • The experience cited for construction/supervisory management is not older than 7 years.
  • You have performed quality control in connection with the commissioning of complex control and monitoring systems containing redundant PLC systems and SCADA systems.
  • The experience of quality control during commissioning is not older than 5 years.
  • You have at least 2 years of practical experience in construction law, primarily AB and ABT, during the last 7 years.
  • You can work 100% in the assignment.
  • You can verify your experience through a CV and clear reference assignments.

Desirable Experience

It is particularly desirable if you have:

  • Experience from tunnel facilities, major road constructions, or other technically complex traffic facilities.
  • Experience with facilities with high demands on traffic safety, operational safety, redundancy, and coordination.
  • Experience working close to contractors, operations organizations, and client organizations.
  • Experience in technical coordination between several technical areas.
  • Experience in document review, testing management, inspection, and handover to management.
  • Experience working in larger public or socially critical infrastructure projects.
  • Experience with digital project tools, document management, and follow-up systems.

We are looking for you who are structured, clear, and technically confident. You need to be able to keep details together without losing the big picture. The role requires that you can communicate objectively with both technical specialists, project management, and contractors. You are used to driving issues forward, following up on deviations, and creating order in technically complex environments.
