The Swedish Fortification Administration is looking for a Land and Water & Sewerage Specialist. We are looking for you who have extensive and solid industry knowledge and perhaps currently work as a senior designer/project manager or alternatively as an inspector within land and water & sewerage. The Project Department is responsible for the user-related construction investments of the Swedish Fortification Administration. The department currently has approximately 225 employees and is divided into 3 divisions with operational units, a project support unit, a staff unit, and a design unit.

The Project Support Unit is tasked with supporting the line organization in various complex projects and assignments with its specialist competence.

Your daily life as a Land and Water & Sewerage Specialist in the Project Support Unit

The position of Land and Water & Sewerage Specialist is part of the establishment of a new group within Project Support in Gothenburg. You will support the line organization in early stages with land and water & sewerage-related questions and serve as a support to project managers and designers during the design phase in selected projects.

Your main tasks include:

• Ensuring that the Swedish Fortification Administration's guidelines and requirements are implemented in the various phases of the projects and following up on these.
• Supporting the project organization with technical competence within land and water & sewerage.
• Contributing to the preparation of cost estimates in early stages.
• Participating in the handover of contract documentation to the administration department.
• Participating in internal working groups in the preparation and updating of manuals and design guidelines.

The work is largely carried out in teams together with project managers and other specialists. The position involves working with security-classified projects and facilities as well as travel within Sweden.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

• A degree in civil engineering or university education with a focus on civil engineering, building or installation technology, or alternatively other education and experience considered equivalent.
• Extensive and long-standing industry knowledge within land and water & sewerage.
• Experience from roles such as designer, consultant, or inspector within land and water & sewerage.
• Good knowledge of Swedish.
• Class B driver's license.

It is meritorious if you have worked on large complex infrastructure projects in the review procedure at the system contract level. Furthermore, we consider it meritorious if you have experience working with underground facilities such as tunnels and rock caverns, for example.

We would appreciate if you have experience working with communication in projects. If you have experience of the Swedish Fortification Administration's operations, primarily within construction, and also knowledge of the Swedish Armed Forces' operations, that is also an advantage. It is also meritorious with knowledge within property and contract law, the Public Procurement Act (LOU), and that you have good knowledge of English. Experience working with environmental classification systems is also advantageous if you have it.

About the employment

The position is a permanent employment and may be initiated with a probationary period. As a permanent employee, you will be war-placed. The location is Gothenburg. An employment with us requires Swedish citizenship and involves placement in a security class. Security screening with register control will be conducted before employment in accordance with Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act.
