About the role

Academic Work is currently seeking a Project Manager within electrical and water/sewage automation for ASB in Mariestad. ASB is a family-owned company belonging to a larger group. The company is characterized by a flat and non-hierarchical organization with short decision-making paths. ASB works on both small and large projects, meaning no two days are alike. You will be part of a team of seven project managers driven by great engagement and who highly value collaboration. In the role of Junior Project Manager, you will have a varied workday where you work from the design phase through to the completed facility. ASB is in an expansion phase, which means you need to thrive in a flexible environment where you handle multiple tasks in parallel. You will gradually take on more responsibility with the goal of leading several parallel projects from start to finish. During your first period in the role, you will receive extra support from more senior colleagues and will start by taking on simpler projects.

Responsibilities

  • Manage project economics
  • Resource planning
  • Responsible for customer and supplier contacts
  • Production management
  • Support during commissioning on-site
  • Documentation using the Office suite
  • Handover of the facility

We are looking for someone who

  • Has a technical post-secondary education, preferably in infrastructure, civil engineering, electrical, water/sewage, or equivalent, or someone with previous experience working as an electrician, electrical installer, or similar role who wants to take the next step.
  • Has a genuine technical interest.
  • Is proficient with computers and has knowledge of the Office suite.
  • Communicates fluently in Swedish and English, as communication occurs daily in these languages.
  • Has a valid driver's license (Category B), as site visits are part of the role.

It is an advantage if you:

  • Have worked in technical projects previously.
  • Have experience in project management, preferably within electrical or water/sewage.
  • Have education focused on electrical engineering.

To thrive in this role, it is important that you are collaborative and communicative, as the position involves many contact points both internally and externally. Since several projects are run in parallel, you need a good ability to create structure and take responsibility for following schedules. Given the technical focus of the role, it is also important that you are technically interested, curious, and problem-solving in your attitude.
