At OCS, you will become an important part of an innovative company delivering advanced transport systems. As a Service Technician, you will have a varied role where you combine technical competence with practical work at customer sites. No two days are alike.

About the role

As a Service Technician, you are responsible for ensuring our systems function optimally for the customer – from installation and maintenance to troubleshooting and improvements. You play a key role in ensuring operational reliability and customer satisfaction, while also identifying new needs and business opportunities.

When you are not traveling, you work at our headquarters in Viared, Borås, with production.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Travel to customers in Sweden, Europe, and occasionally globally for installation, service, and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure high functionality and performance of our systems at customer sites.
  • Analyze mechanical constructions and identify wear, risks, and improvement measures.
  • Read and interpret drawings, layouts, and technical documentation.
  • Create quotations, order documentation, and technical records in business systems.
  • Act as the customer's technical advisor and build long-term relationships.
  • Proactively identify new business opportunities within service, spare parts, and upgrades.
  • Contribute to upselling by understanding the customer's operations and needs.
  • Work in production in Borås with assembly, testing, and finalization when not traveling.
  • Assist with the installation of our systems when needed.
  • Report deviations and drive improvements in products and working methods.
  • Coordinate and lead hired technicians when necessary.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for someone who is technically curious, self-motivated, and thrives in a role that combines problem-solving with customer contact and business thinking.

You have the ability to:

  • See the big picture in technical systems and understand how technology, operations, and customer benefit are connected.
  • Zoom in on details when necessary to solve problems quickly and efficiently.
  • Build trust and relationships with customers.
  • Capture needs and transform them into concrete solutions and business opportunities.

We believe you have:

  • A high school education in technology, electrical engineering, automation, or similar.
  • Experience in service and maintenance, preferably from the manufacturing industry.
  • Good understanding of mechanical constructions and wear.
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting electrical and automation systems.
  • Experience reading drawings and technical documentation.
  • Experience with administrative work, e.g., quotations and documentation.
  • Good command of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
  • A valid driver's license (Category B).

Merits:

  • Experience in mechanics, electrical systems, and control systems.
  • Experience with PLC systems or similar automation solutions.
  • Forklift license and scissor lift license.
  • German language skills.

Additional information

Start date: According to agreement

Scope: Full-time, permanent, with a 6-month probation period

Location: Viared, Borås
