YLAB is a family-owned construction company with roots in Småland and headquarters in Jönköping. Since 1977, we have developed and executed projects across Sweden – always with a focus on quality, long-term sustainability, and close collaborations. We are now continuing to grow within the residential sector and are looking for a Project Engineer who wants to take clear responsibility for procurement and contribute to ensuring our projects have the right prerequisites from the start.

Your future workplace

As a Project Engineer at YLAB, you will become part of a team where structure, responsibility, and collaboration are central parts of daily life. You will work closely with project managers, site managers, and other specialists, taking on a role where you help shape the direction, pace, and quality of the projects.

Your new assignment

In this role, you combine the broad responsibilities of a Project Engineer with a clear focus on procurement. You are involved from the early stages and follow the project all the way to the completed building. You create order, drive issues forward, and ensure that both details and the overall picture maintain a high standard.

You will primarily work with:

• Procurement and material selection – from request for quotation to contract
• Coordination of schedules together with the project group
• Documentation and contract management, as well as follow-up on economy and quality
• Supplier and contractor contacts
• Support in planning and execution
• Participation in design engineering
• Involvement in cost estimation work

The role involves many contact points, varied tasks, and a unique opportunity to follow the entire project journey from idea to move-in.

About you

We are looking for someone with an engineering degree in construction or equivalent experience. However, above all, we are looking for a person who thrives in a role where structure, responsibility, and collaboration are crucial.
