The Workplace

Trelleborg is undergoing significant transformation in the coming years. Trelleborg Municipality is a growing community with steady population growth and an aggressive push for urban development and land exploitation. The Unit for Exploitation and Strategic Premises Supply, organizationally part of the Municipal Executive Office, is responsible for driving the municipality's land development through exploitation projects and managing the municipal land reserve. The unit consists of eleven employees, including one manager. In addition to land and exploitation, the unit also handles strategic premises supply and 'Kuststad' (Coastal City), which operates as its own project organization.

We are located in central premises, close to the central station with good bus and train connections.

We are now looking for a Land and Exploitation Engineer responsible for the land reserve, who can work independently with land management and exploitation projects.

Responsibilities

As a Land and Exploitation Engineer responsible for the land reserve, you will manage and develop Trelleborg Municipality's land reserve, including having independent budget responsibility for the area. The role involves responsibility for leases and other usage rights on municipal land, as well as working with administration, negotiations, agreements, and various types of arrangements. You will also participate in negotiations regarding the acquisition and disposal of municipal properties. The role includes representing the city at cadastral proceedings.

Furthermore, you will play an active role in the development and implementation of exploitation projects on both municipal and private land. The work is carried out in close collaboration with construction actors, property owners, utility companies, as well as municipal administrations and companies. The assignment also includes preparing materials and making submissions to committees regarding, among other things, land allocation and agreements.

You are responsible for budget, quality assurance, and follow-up within your own exploitation projects and actively participate in the work with business establishments in the municipality. The role also involves representing the unit and the administration in various issues and contexts.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a university education in surveying or another education that the employer considers equivalent. In the role, you will work with issues related to properties, land management, and project implementation, where you are expected to contribute both structure and a holistic perspective to the daily work.

You will drive and participate in projects together with colleagues and other actors, which means you need experience in working towards set goals regarding time, economy, and quality. If you have previously worked with surveying issues, property law, or land management, we consider this particularly meritorious.

To succeed in the role, you need a working style characterized by initiative, structure, and clarity. You must be able to prioritize, take responsibility for progress, and simultaneously have the ability to see the business as a whole and its long-term needs.

The work involves many contact surfaces, both internally and externally, where dialogue, collaboration, and negotiation are a natural part of the assignment. We are therefore looking for you who are secure in meetings with other people and who build good relationships through a professional, service-oriented, and diplomatic approach.

We also value that you are engaged, take initiative, and have the drive to find sustainable and business-adapted solutions together with others.

Since the position involves contact with authorities, contractors, property owners, and internal operations, you need good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. You must be able to communicate clearly, participate in dialogues and negotiations, and handle documentation and written materials in a legally secure and professional manner.

A Category B driver's license is a requirement as the position involves travel within the area of operation for site visits, meetings, and collaboration with external parties.
