Stordammen F-9 is located near nature in Sävja, approximately 9 kilometers from Uppsala. The school has around 720 students and 80 staff members. The school is an Erasmus school and organizes several exciting trips every year. We welcome your application!

Description of duties

In this position, you will teach mathematics and natural sciences (NO) in grades 6–9. At Stordammen, math and science teachers often work together and design the curriculum in teams. You will also serve as a mentor for a class. You will have access to suitable facilities and qualified special education teachers.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher and have the qualifications to teach mathematics, natural sciences, and technology, or some of the natural science subjects. As a person, you are outgoing and socially active in your work. You easily establish contact with students and colleagues and maintain relationships. You collaborate well with others and relate to your surroundings in a sensitive and flexible manner. You listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts constructively. In stressful situations, you remain calm, stable, and in control. You maintain a realistic perspective on various situations and focus on the right things.

With good pedagogical insight, you understand that students have different prerequisites for absorbing knowledge. You adapt your way of conveying your message to the recipient. You lead, motivate, and empower others with the authority needed to effectively achieve common goals. You coordinate groups, become a natural reference point for others, and create engagement and participation.

Uppsala Municipality applies individual and differentiated salary setting according to the current collective agreement.
