We are looking for Maintenance Mechanics/Mechanics in Ludvika
Do you want to work in a varied environment where maintenance, technology, development, and collaboration are at the center? We are currently seeking engaged employees for our Maintenance Department.
At Quant in Ludvika, we are over 120 employees, of which approximately 60 are in our maintenance department in various roles; maintenance technicians (Electrical/Automation, Mechanical, Process, Project, etc.), maintenance engineers, planners/coordinators, and project managers. We perform emergency and preventive maintenance for our customer Hitachi Energy and also work to help the customer maintain and optimize machine performance at their facilities.
About the role:
As a maintenance technician in mechanics, you will carry out ongoing work for emergency and preventive maintenance. Here, you will have the opportunity to develop in your role as a technician by working in a production environment with both older and newer machinery. We work to help customers maintain and optimize machine performance at their facilities.
Your main responsibilities:
- Mechanical preventive maintenance
- Corrective maintenance
- Troubleshooting machines in case of breakdown or production stop
- Machining and manufacturing of simpler mechanical constructions
- Simpler calculations on jobs that may lead to projects
- The work is primarily performed on shift
Qualifications:
- Workshop technical education, preferably with a focus on maintenance
- Previous experience in workshop work and mechanical troubleshooting
- Basic computer skills, as all maintenance work is reported in our maintenance system Maximo via computer and mobile
- It is an advantage if you also have knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and knowledge/experience in maintaining CNC-controlled machines
We would like you to possess the following qualities:
- Good technical knowledge and ability to solve various problems
- Customer-oriented
- Enjoy collaborating with others
- Responsible, meticulous, and self-initiating, with a keen eye for improvements and new opportunities
- Have experience with and enjoy shift work
- Good experience with night shifts and other shift patterns; this position initially requires night work
