Dala Vatten och Avfall handles the operation, development, coordination, administration, and planning of water, wastewater, and waste services in Gagnef, Leksand, Rättvik, and Vansbro. The main office is located in Leksand. Much of the work we do is neither seen nor heard, but it would be immediately noticeable if it ceased. Through planning, analysis, and development, we deliver the critical infrastructure that is the prerequisite for us to live and work in our municipalities. We are now looking for a maintenance technician who wants to become part of our important water and wastewater (VA) operations. We ensure the production and distribution of drinking water as well as the handling of wastewater – a service that affects the entire society. With 300 million meters of VA pipelines and treatment plants in four municipalities, we need an efficient and engaged organization that can handle both planned and acute events.

About the role:

As a maintenance technician, you work with the operation and maintenance of our VA facilities – waterworks, wastewater treatment plants, and pump stations.

You become an important part of a team responsible for ensuring that drinking water production and wastewater handling function safely and securely – around the clock.

The work is varied and includes among other things:

• Operation and supervision of treatment and water plants
• Troubleshooting and repair of pumps and technical equipment
• Sampling and follow-up of water quality and processes
• Preventive maintenance and operational checks
• Participation in improvement work and development of the facilities
• Emergency maintenance during operational disruptions, where you need to find solutions quickly
• Work according to clear routines within safety and working environment

On-call duty is included according to schedule, every sixth week, and you always have colleagues and support in the organization.

We are looking for:

You who have a technical interest and enjoy working practically, both independently and together with others.

We would like you to have:

• Upper secondary or vocational education in technology, operations, process, or equivalent experience
• Category B driver's license (requirement)
• Good computer skills, as we use operational monitoring systems and other business systems
• Good Swedish in speech and writing
• Meritorious is experience from VA, process industry, electricity, or automation
