National Service Center 2 is tasked with registering and examining applications for protection according to the EU's Mass Influx Directive. We alternate between working in the reception area with registration and handling our own cases. We investigate both orally and in writing, and we make decisions. The work is varied and dynamic with many applicant contacts, which places demands on service awareness. The operations are both developed and continuously adapted to meet the requirements of the assignment.
What does a decision-maker do?
As a decision-maker, you support and develop your colleagues in legal application, substantive issues, and investigation methodology. You identify and analyze areas for development and draw up improvement proposals. On behalf of the unit, you acquire and maintain knowledge and monitor standards, guidelines, and practice.
You handle, investigate, and decide on cases with support from laws and regulations. The decisions you make have legal effect for individuals and affect their right to benefits, rights, and obligations. You handle appeals and follow up on cases in connection with case preparations to ensure high legal quality. The tasks include making confidentiality assessments before information is released, as well as administering case files and documents. You also work with guiding and providing service to individuals who have a case with the Swedish Migration Agency and to other stakeholders who have questions of various kinds.
Who are you?
We are looking for you who have a good understanding of how humans absorb knowledge and people's different prerequisites. You have good collaboration skills, are receptive, and solve conflicts in a constructive way. Furthermore, you are meticulous and place great importance on meeting goals and quality standards. You take responsibility for your tasks and structure your work independently. You are secure, stable, and distinguish between the personal and the professional. You also adapt easily to changed circumstances and see opportunities in changes.
In our work as civil servants, high demands are also placed on judgment and a high level of security and confidentiality awareness.
You who apply have
- An academic education of at least 120 hp with a legal, social science, or behavioral science focus
- Some years of current experience in handling qualified administrative legal cases
- Current experience in case management according to applicable legislation
- Good knowledge of the Administrative Code and the Aliens Act
- Good communication skills and express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish and English
It is meritorious if you have
- Experience in conveying knowledge within legal application
- Experience working in public operations
- Experience in handling alien cases
- Experience with a coaching approach
- Experience working in reception
- Experience working with the EU's Mass Influx Directive
