Welcome to work with us at Vårdcentralen Ekensberg!

Working at a primary healthcare centre is broad and varied. As a nurse, you work independently and in close collaboration with colleagues, doctors, assistant nurses, and other professionals. This means you get to use your full range of skills – both medically and in terms of nursing care.

We offer you a varied job in a team that values a good working atmosphere and having fun at work. The team is full of competence and experience that we are happy to share. You have colleagues who care about you and support you in your daily work. In the latest employee survey, 100% recommended their workplace!

Your Responsibilities

  • Reception work involving assessments, advice, and triage.
  • Telephone advice and digital patient contact.
  • Wound care, injections, blood sampling, and other practical tasks.
  • Health conversations and patient education.
  • Follow-up of chronic diseases (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, COPD) depending on competence.
  • Collaboration with other healthcare providers and authorities.
  • Documentation and quality work.

You work in a team with a colleague and collaborate closely with the doctors responsible for the patients in your team. In our telephone advice service, you, as a nurse, primarily call the patients in your team. This gives you the opportunity to get to know your patients over time and make a real difference.

We are brave enough to try new working methods and continuously develop new routines to promote good accessibility for the patient and a good working environment for you as an employee. Additionally, you have the opportunity to engage in improvement and development work, supervise colleagues, and students.

Working Methods at the Clinic

  • Independent work with significant personal responsibility.
  • Quick assessments and prioritizations, individually or with support from colleagues.
  • Continuity in patient relationships – you often follow patients over time.
  • Teamwork where we help and learn from each other.
  • Opportunities to develop specialist areas, e.g., asthma/COPD, diabetes, elderly care, or child health services.

Your Competence

Personal Qualities

We expect you to have commitment and patience to learn over time. Working in primary care means you meet patients of all ages with all conceivable symptoms and questions. You can't know everything, and that's okay, but you need to be curious about finding solutions.

  • You are confident in your profession and accustomed to making decisions.
  • You have good communication skills and create a sense of security for the patient.
  • You are structured and solution-focused.
  • You are interested in preventive and long-term work.
  • You thrive in an environment where no two days are alike.
  • You build good relationships within the team to facilitate communication and collaboration.
