We are looking for two student assistants at Fågelvik School in Tibro

Fågelvik School is a secondary school for grades 7–9 with approximately 400 students, including those in adapted basic education.

At Fågelvik School, we are accessible and visible to our students! We actively work to build good relationships between students, guardians, colleagues, and management, and we persistently address values-based issues to create safety and counteract harassment.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for two student assistants who will work within adapted basic education, both with individual students and with groups of students.

The responsibilities include:

• Creating conditions for the student(s) to participate in teaching, with support in the form of, for example, preparation, visual aids, help maintaining focus, help with reading/writing, or other adaptations.
• Providing support in care and assisting in daily situations.
• Providing support in social interaction and conflict management.
• Initiating break activities with the student(s).

As a student assistant, you will have continuous dialogue with the mentor, the teaching teacher, and the student's guardians.

Qualifications and Merits

We are looking for you who have education and/or experience working as a student assistant, or other education/experience that the employer deems equivalent. It is an advantage if you have previous experience working in adapted basic education and with young people. It is also an advantage if you have experience working in care and social services.

We are looking for you who are flexible, persistent, clear, and have the ability to create structure and order. It is of great importance that you have the ability to build good relationships with the student and the guardian.

You should have a high degree of empathy combined with a professional attitude, always working with the best interests of the student(s) in focus.

Personal suitability will be taken into consideration for the position.
