The Role and Responsibilities
Botkyrka Municipality is looking for a Logistics Coordinator to lead the work of establishing and developing the municipality's emergency supply warehouses. The role plays a central part in the municipality's civil defense efforts, aiming to strengthen the ability to maintain essential societal functions during crises, societal disruptions, and heightened alert levels.
As a Logistics Coordinator, you are responsible for the planning, establishment, and further development of an emergency supply warehouse intended to support municipal operations in cases of delivery disruptions or other crisis situations. The work involves both strategic planning and operational execution, carried out in close collaboration with the municipality's administrations, safety and security functions, the procurement unit, as well as external suppliers and partners.
The position is located within the municipality's procurement unit, which consists of approximately 25 employees and is organized under the Municipal Executive Board Administration.
Your main responsibilities include:

- Planning and establishing warehouses for essentials, protective equipment, spare parts, and other critical resources.
- Developing and managing routines for procurement, warehousing, inventory, turnover, and distribution.
- Ensuring that the emergency supply warehouse complies with current legislation, guidelines, and the municipality's steering documents.
- Coordinating contacts with internal operations, suppliers, and external partners.
- Contributing to risk and vulnerability analyses, continuity planning, and exercise activities.
The role also includes monitoring costs and inventory status, as well as documenting working methods and preparing decision materials when necessary.
What We Offer
You will become part of the procurement unit, where collaboration, shared responsibility, and the development of the municipality's supply capacity are in focus. The unit works closely with other administrations and functions within the municipality, providing excellent opportunities for cross-functional collaboration and a holistic perspective.
At Botkyrka Municipality, you will work with a socially important mission that makes a tangible difference for the residents. We offer varied work with significant responsibility, the opportunity to influence, and the chance to contribute to strengthening the municipality's long-term preparedness in a growing and diverse community.
About You
You have a relevant post-secondary education, for example in logistics, crisis preparedness, security, urban planning, or public administration, or equivalent experience as assessed by the employer. You have experience working with coordination, projects, or development work and are accustomed to driving tasks from planning to implementation.
Other Requirements:
- Experience in warehouse management and logistical flows.
- Experience working systematically with planning, follow-up, and documentation.
- Experience collaborating with multiple internal and external actors.
- Experience working with digital tools for follow-up and reporting.
- Experience in planning, establishing, or developing warehouse operations.
- Fluent in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
We consider it meritorious if you have:
- Experience working in municipal or other public sector operations.
- Experience in supply preparedness, civil defense, or essential societal functions.
- Experience in public procurement or working closely with procurement functions.
- A valid driver's license (Category B).
In the role of Logistics Coordinator, you work in a collaborative manner and are skilled at creating effective cooperation with the municipality's administrations, the procurement unit, safety and security functions, and external suppliers. You are structured and plan the work with the emergency supply warehouse systematically, contributing to clear routines for warehousing, follow-up, and documentation. You are solution-oriented and can handle changed conditions, such as delivery disruptions or other crisis situations, by identifying practical and sustainable solutions. At the same time, you are analytical and use data, needs analyses, and risk assessments to contribute to well-founded decisions, continuity planning, and the development of the municipality's preparedness work.
