We are looking for two student assistants at Fågelvikskolan in Tibro

Fågelvikskolan is a secondary school for grades 7–9 with approximately 400 students, including those in special needs education (adapted primary school).

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for two student assistants who will work within special needs education, both with individual students and with groups of students.

The responsibilities include:

• Creating conditions for the student(s) to participate in teaching, with support in the form of, for example, preparation, visual aids, help maintaining focus, help reading/writing, or other adaptations.
• Providing support in care and assisting in daily situations.
• Providing support in social interaction and conflict management.
• Initiating break-time activities with the student(s).

As a student assistant, you will have continuous dialogue with the mentor, teaching teacher, and the student's guardians.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with education and/or experience working as a student assistant, or other education/experience that the employer deems equivalent. It is an advantage if you have previous experience working in special needs education and with teenagers. Experience in care and social services is also considered an advantage.

We are looking for someone who is flexible, persistent, clear, and has the ability to create structure and order. It is of great importance that you have the ability to build good relationships with students and guardians.

You should have a high degree of empathy combined with a professional approach, always working with the best interests of the student(s) in focus.
