Boqueria Stockholm is a warm and welcoming restaurant where high service, good food, and strong teamwork are at the center. We are now looking for an engaged and experienced head waiter (Maître d') who wants to be a driving force in creating a memorable guest experience and developing our front-of-house team.
The Role
As the head waiter, you are responsible for the daily front-of-house operations and for creating a safe, efficient, and service-oriented work environment. You lead and coach service staff and bartenders, plan staffing and scheduling, and distribute tasks during lunch and dinner shifts. You welcome guests, manage table assignments, reservations, and ensure smooth flow in the dining room. Together with the restaurant manager and the kitchen, you schedule service, coordinate timing between the kitchen and the floor, and ensure that quality, pace, and presentation meet our high standards. You participate in monitoring sales, costs, and reporting, and ensure that food hygiene and safety routines are followed.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone with documented experience in front-of-house work, preferably in a leadership role or as an assistant head waiter. You have a good understanding of the restaurant's operational processes and economics, are accustomed to working at a high pace, and have the ability to make quick and well-founded decisions. Experience with reservation systems, events, and coordinating large groups is advantageous. Previous experience from open kitchens or concepts with multiple departments is a plus.

You are confident in your leadership, clear in your communication, and positive in your interactions. You are motivated by developing colleagues, creating structure, and improving work processes. Customer focus, a good sense of service, and the ability to handle high pressure and complex situations are required. A flexible attitude towards working hours, including evenings and weekends, is a requirement. You have excellent knowledge of Swedish and English.
Requirements
- Several years of experience from the restaurant industry, preferably with experience in front-of-house or a leadership role
- Documented experience in personnel responsibility, coaching, and scheduling
- Good understanding of restaurant economics, sales monitoring, and cost control
- Experience with reservation systems and handling reservations
- Familiarity with food hygiene and HACCP routines
- Good communication skills in Swedish and English
