The Faculty of Law in Uppsala is the oldest law faculty in the Nordic countries and was already in existence when the university was founded in 1477. It offers an extensive and highly regarded undergraduate and graduate education. The Faculty includes the Department of Law, where approximately 200 people are employed.

Job Description

In your role as Course Administrator, you will provide course administrative support and service to teachers and students at both undergraduate and advanced levels. The work is carried out within a team where course administrators collaborate closely with programme directors, teachers, and other administrative staff. You will also have contact with external bodies, such as the administration, and there are opportunities to participate in various administrative networks within Uppsala University.

Course administration duties include, but are not limited to, posting course information to students, creating timetables, booking rooms, creating course instances, administering examinations, and reporting results. The administrative systems you will primarily work with are Ladok, Inspera, Studium (Canvas), and TimeEdit. Other duties may be added within the scope of the employment.

Qualifications

Relevant university education, vocational training in an administrative field, or equivalent competence assessed by the employer as comparable. Experience in administrative work. Very good computer skills and knowledge of the Office package. Good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.

Great importance will be attached to personal suitability. We look for someone who can prioritize and adhere to deadlines in a structured manner while being meticulous. You must also be open to system changes and capable of handling peak workloads. The role requires you to work independently and be proactive in your daily tasks. As a person, you should be outgoing and have strong communication skills, as this position involves frequent contact with students, colleagues, and teachers/researchers. Desirable/Additional Merits

Current experience in educational administration at a university college or university. Experience with the educational administrative systems Ladok, Studium, Inspera, and TimeEdit, as well as other systems/programs used at Uppsala University, is considered an advantage.

About the Position

This is a fixed-term appointment for 12 months. The position is full-time (100%). Start date: 2026-08-03 or by agreement. Location: Uppsala.
