Legal Business Partner at Visit Sweden

We are looking for a Legal Business Partner with a focus on public procurement who wants to step into the role of a commercial legal specialist and strategic advisor.

Responsibilities

In the role of Legal Business Partner, you act as a partner to the management and the rest of the business. You combine legal competence and experience with practical action to drive processes forward and ensure regulatory compliance.

Main tasks:

  • Responsible for driving and executing public procurements from start to finish.
  • Act as an advisor and negotiator in internal and external contacts, providing legal advice and support within compliance, with a particular focus on the public sector and state regulations.
  • Handle issues related to the state's ownership policy and politically driven processes, including responses to FFU (State Ownership Reports).
  • Lead and drive projects with many participants and act as a catalyst for colleagues' understanding of legal frameworks.
  • Contribute to organizational development by improving processes and structures.

Qualifications

To succeed in the role, you need:

  • Relevant legal education and experience in independently driving public procurements.
  • Good knowledge of law and compliance within the public sector.
  • Experience in project management and steering complex processes with multiple stakeholders.
  • Good financial understanding and the ability to see how commercial decisions affect the income statement.
  • Very good ability to communicate clearly and effectively in speech and writing.
  • Experience working within or collaborating with state operations or politically driven organizations.
  • Good English skills with the ability to express yourself in both speech and writing.
  • Negotiation experience.
  • Good administrative skills.
  • Good analytical skills.

It is meritorious if you also have:

  • Experience with GDPR and business management.
  • Basic IT understanding in a modern digital environment.
  • Interest in or experience from the visitor industry and tourism.
  • Previous experience from a leading role within Legal, e.g., as Senior Legal Manager.
  • Knowledge of state aid.
  • Experience working in an international or multicultural environment.
