Uppsala Municipality has had a central registry since 2015, organized within the administration department. The department's mission is to support the entire municipal group – from administrations and municipal companies to elected officials. Within the Registry Unit, we are just over 30 employees working at the heart of Uppsala Municipality's information flow. We are now looking for a new colleague to work as a registrar for the Rescue Board.

With us, you will have a varied and developmental assignment where you will work both independently and together with colleagues and other operations. Our goal is to ensure the quality and accessibility of information in a legally secure manner, thereby meeting the needs of our operations and the public's right to transparency.

The position is classified for security clearance, and a security investigation with associated register check will therefore be conducted before employment.

Description of duties

At the Registry Unit, your main task is to handle and evaluate information and ensure the quality of metadata in the municipality's common case management system. You are part of an important support function, and as a natural part of the work, you will have contact with the municipality's residents, usually via email or phone.

Your duties include, among other things:

  • Responsibility for incoming mail and email via functional mailboxes.
  • Registration and case management.
  • Handling requests for public documents and making confidentiality assessments.
  • Providing support to operations regarding information management issues.
  • Conducting training and providing advice and guidance to case handlers and managers.
  • Actively contributing to digitalization and development work.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have education in archival and information science, registrar training, or other work experience that the employer deems relevant for the position. The position requires good knowledge of Microsoft 365 and good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing. It is meritorious if you have experience working with registries in public operations. We also view it positively if you have experience handling requests for public documents and have worked in accordance with relevant laws such as GDPR, the Archives Act, and the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act. Furthermore, experience with the systems Public 360 and/or Daedalos is meritorious.

Uppsala Municipality applies individual and differentiated salary setting according to the current collective agreement.

In your application, you must state your citizenship. Employment can only take place after a check of the work permit, which is required according to the Aliens Ordinance.

An employment with Uppsala Municipality may involve being placed on a war establishment.
