Within the Child and Education Administration, our approximately 3,000 employees meet with around 14,000 children and students at more than 100 preschools and schools across the municipality every day. Every child and student in Sundsvall Municipality's preschools and schools should be able to develop, learn, and reach their goals according to their own prerequisites. Every student should be able to leave school with the desire, knowledge, and good conditions to meet adult life and the future.

Your new workplace

Hagaskolan is a grades F-9 school that offers a safe schooling experience with high expectations, good relationships, and a positive approach. Hagaskolan has approximately 580 students and is beautifully situated in a quiet residential area in the northern part of Sundsvall. Hagaskolan has a strong community and dedicated staff. We work to create a safe and stimulating learning environment where all students have the opportunity to develop, both academically and socially. To strengthen our team, we are now looking for an after-school educator or teacher for the after-school center (fritidshem) for grades F-6.

How you contribute as a teacher in the after-school center

We offer an exciting and challenging assignment where you have the opportunity to help develop an after-school activity, based on the curriculum's purpose and central content for the after-school center. The assignment includes collaborating with teachers and colleagues within the after-school center during the school day to help increase student goal achievement. You are expected to be able to plan and carry out activities based on the students' needs and the curriculum's requirements.

In collaboration with the work team and your teacher colleagues in grades F-6, you create a structured and good pedagogical environment during school time and after-school time, where every student is given the opportunity to develop as far as possible based on their prerequisites. We strive for a red thread between school and the after-school center, where the activities should go hand in hand linked to Lgr 22. It is also important to be able to lead a group of students in various activities, both play, outdoor activities, creative work, and social contexts. You also work actively to support the students' ability and willingness to take responsibility and influence.

Your competence and experience

• You are a certified teacher in the after-school center or equivalent.
• You have experience working in school and/or the after-school center.
• You are knowledgeable about leadership, stimulation, and extra adjustments.
• You are clear, organized, well-structured, responsive, and most importantly, a team player.
• You are committed to your assignment and passionate about leading students in their development, both academically and socially.
• You are a clear and communicative leader.
• Good ability to build good relationships with students and guardians.
• You enjoy leading and driving development issues within the after-school center.
• We would also appreciate it if you enjoy working with nature as a natural part of learning.
