Do you want to ensure that our elderly in Haparanda receive good and nutritious meals? Do you want to work during the day?

We are currently seeking two experienced chefs for Klippans kök to prepare meals for all our care and nursing homes within the municipality. Our chefs prepare over 300 portions daily, mostly traditional Swedish home-style cooking, with a focus on nutritious and sustainable meals. Klippans kök delivers hot food every day of the year, which means work is also performed on weekends.

Your profile

We are looking for you who are an experienced chef and can cook good food, primarily traditional Swedish home-style cooking, for our elderly. For those with specific needs, we also prepare special diets.

Your responsibilities

As a chef, you are responsible for the daily operations in the kitchen, which includes planning, cooking, and serving good and nutritious food according to our guidelines. Duties also include self-control, ordering, dishwashing, cleaning, as well as follow-up and development of the operations.

You work to create a pleasant workplace and collaborate with other staff to contribute to a positive dining experience for our guests. You may also be responsible for receiving interns and apprentices as needed.

Computer skills are a requirement as orders, self-control, and statistics are handled digitally. We work, among other things, in the Mashie food data system.

Qualifications

  • 3-year upper secondary education as a chef or other education deemed equivalent by the employer.
  • Basic knowledge of food hygiene.

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Experience working in large-scale kitchens aimed at elderly care.
  • Education and/or experience in preparing meals adapted for allergies and consistencies.

You have good communication skills in Swedish, the ability to work independently and in a team, are responsible, structured, and have good collaboration skills. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a professional attitude in your work.
