IAF is looking for a temporary HR Generalist for the Business Support Unit
Do you want meaningful work that contributes to a well-functioning labor market? At the Swedish Unemployment Insurance Supervisory Authority (IAF), you contribute to ensuring that Sweden's security systems – unemployment insurance, activity support, and establishment allowance – are legally secure and efficient. We supervise unemployment funds and the tasks performed by the Swedish Public Employment Service and the Swedish Social Insurance Agency within these systems.
We offer you a developmental role in a knowledge-based organization where your skills contribute to our results. We work with efficient methods, cross-professional teams, and digital solutions that facilitate work both in the office and when working remotely. We encourage competence development and are constantly working to improve our methods and processes.
IAF is now seeking an HR Generalist who can strengthen our HR work for a period and contribute to developing our methods and processes within the HR field.
About the role
As an HR Generalist, you belong to the Business Support Unit. You contribute to ensuring the authority has good and relevant support that creates the conditions for the entire organization's success.
You work with developing and driving common HR processes, for example, related to employee surveys, as well as the follow-up and development of occupational health and workplace culture.
The responsibilities include:
- Handling ongoing HR administration
- Contributing to structure, quality, and development in the authority's HR processes
- Planning, conducting, and following up on employee surveys and safety rounds
- Contributing to the development of organizational culture and working methods
- Preparing materials, analyses, and decision support
- Supporting managers with HR-related issues within the scope of your assignment
- Collaborating with trade union partners and occupational safety representatives
We are looking for someone who has:
- An academic degree in HR/personnel science
- Good knowledge of HR processes, regulations, and working methods within the public sector
- Current experience working with the development of processes within occupational health, wage formation, and workplace culture
- Current experience of union collaboration at an authority-wide level
- Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish
It is meritorious if you have:
- Experience in change or development work
- Experience working with employee surveys and follow-ups
- Experience in conducting and following up on safety rounds
Personal qualities
To succeed in this role, you need to have strong integrity and the ability to build and maintain good relationships. You collaborate well with others and handle different opinions and perspectives in a constructive manner. You have the ability to create trust and collaborate with different parts of the organization.
To thrive in this role, you need to be flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances. Since the position is fixed-term, you must be able to quickly familiarize yourself with the operations and contribute independently to the development work.
About the employment
The position is a temporary appointment at 50% for the period from September 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027. The location is Katrineholm.
