Hitachi Energy currently delivers power grid technology that supplies over three billion people worldwide. Do you want to make a difference with us? We are now looking for a Hardware Engineer - Electrical Systems to join our team in Ludvika.

You will work on modernizing and upgrading some of the world's most advanced HVDC installations alongside experienced engineers and international project teams. This role offers you the opportunity to develop within electrical design, system integration, and industrial processes – while your solutions contribute directly to the energy transition.

You will participate in developing technical solutions for control and protection systems and will gradually take on greater responsibility as your skills develop.

How you will make a difference

• Contribute to the design and documentation of hardware solutions for control and protection systems.
• Create overview drawings, circuit diagrams, layouts, and technical documentation.
• Work with CAD tools and digital design environments.
• Collaborate with workshops, site teams, and project teams.
• Participate in testing, verification, and technical follow-up.
• Contribute to improving working methods and technical solutions.

Your background

• Good computer skills and the ability to work in a structured manner in technical environments.
• Experience with CAD tools and technical documentation.
• Technical interest and desire to develop within power systems and industrial systems.
• Post-secondary education in electrical engineering, electronics, automation, or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate in Swedish and English.
• It is an advantage if you have 3–4 years of work experience from the electrical, energy, or industrial sectors.
