We are now looking for an engaged and structured board secretary who wants to be responsible for the legally secure and efficient management of our board processes in Tyresö Municipality. With us, you will have a central and important role in the municipality's democratic processes with issues that have significance for the entire organization.

We are a unit with different roles and competencies where we jointly own our assignments and support each other in the daily work. With us, collaboration, flexibility, and development are important parts of the culture. We actively work to develop and create an efficient and equal board process in the municipality. When the external environment changes, we need to do the same; as a unit, we are therefore prepared to adapt both assignments and roles to new conditions.

The unit consists of board secretaries, archivists, lawyers, investigators, and an administrator and registrar. Together, we support the entire organization with objective deliverables that contribute to development and quality improvements.

About the position

The role of board secretary with us is versatile. As a board secretary, you are the link between politics, the service organization, and the citizens. You are responsible for the entire case handling process, from when a case is initiated to when the decision is dispatched. The role involves close collaboration with colleagues in the unit, managers, and elected officials, where you contribute with structure, quality, and a holistic perspective in the municipality's decision-making processes. We work in teams and support each other to create an efficient and equal board process in the municipality.

The work includes administration, planning, structuring, and minute-taking. In addition to board administration, you are a support to case handlers, managers, and politicians. The role may also include investigation assignments, such as producing decision materials, policies, and guidelines to develop the municipality's work, which requires flexibility and the ability to switch between different tasks.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who have relevant higher education, for example in political science, and have worked as a board secretary or have experience in a similar central role within municipal operations. You have a good understanding of municipal decision-making processes.

It is an advantage if you have experience working in LEX.

To thrive and succeed in the role of board secretary, it is important that you have strong administrative skills and a careful and structured way of working. You are a person who enjoys working at a high pace and is accustomed to handling several tasks simultaneously. We also see that you are a person who thrives working in a politically governed organization and has a service-oriented and professional attitude.

To succeed in the role, it is important to focus on the organization's best interests and to be able to build trust in your work. As a person, you are positive, unpretentious, flexible, and have a humble approach.
