As part of efforts to increase the participation of Region Jämtland Härjedalen's patients in clinical trials and to create a stimulating research climate within the operations, a division-wide, practice-oriented research nurse position is now being established within the division.

The Surgery Division comprises the operations of surgery, orthopedics, women's health, ENT, ophthalmology, as well as the anesthesia, operating room, and ICU area. The role will initially focus on the oncological operations within the surgery area but will eventually cover the entire division.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a research nurse with us, you contribute your competence and engagement, leading to the development of future care and treatments. In this role, you will work to support the division's research environment and increase the number of high-quality clinical trials with high patient safety.

We are currently seeking two research nurses to work with our clinical trials. As a Research Nurse, you will be part of a team that initially works on launching and conducting cancer studies to develop new treatments for our patients. We conduct various types of clinical trials, which may include new drug treatments, radiation therapy, nursing research, and more.

Your responsibilities include planning, organizing, coordinating, and conducting clinical trials. This involves patient visits and other administrative tasks related to research. You will coordinate the division's ongoing studies in a team with other research personnel within the division.

On our unit, we have a standardized way of working to comply with the regulations governing clinical trials.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with several years of experience in the profession. You must also have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both written and spoken. It is an advantage if you have previously worked with clinical trials and have experience from oncological care and treatment.

A prerequisite for the work is that you have an interest in clinical research, are structured, detail-oriented, and quality-focused. You must also be collaborative, have good communication skills, and be driven, responsible, and flexible.

Personal qualities are given great weight.

Employment type: Permanent position.

The research nurse positions are both at 50% and can be combined with other nursing assignments, up to 100% at, for example, the oncology clinic.
