Are you interested in working in orthopedic geriatrics?
Do you want to work in a department where orthopedics and geriatrics meet, and where you have the opportunity to follow the patient through the entire care chain? At the Geriatric Section, we work with elderly patients who have suffered orthopedic injuries, primarily hip fractures, pelvic fractures, and other injuries requiring both orthopedic and geriatric competence.
About the Role
Here, you will have a varied job where no two days are alike. You will meet patients with complex care needs and use both your medical competence and your nursing perspective. You will become an important part of an engaged multiprofessional team working together to provide patients with the best possible conditions for recovery, mobilization, and a safe return home or continued care. We work in close-knit teams around the patient where everyone's competence is valued and professions support each other in daily work.
Working Hours
We operate 24/7 and work according to a three-shift model:
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Night shift
To create a good balance between work and leisure, we apply a preference schedule where you have the opportunity to influence your working hours. Weekend duty is included, and you will work two out of five weekends.
4 positions available.
Responsibilities
As a nurse at the Geriatric Section, you have a central and coordinating role in the patient's care. The work is characterized by both medical assessments and advanced nursing care.
