Welcome to our neonatal unit!

On the neonatal unit, we care for premature babies from gestational week 28 and newborn sick children up to approximately 6 months of age. The length of stay varies from a few hours to several months.

For us, it is important that all new employees receive the support they need to feel secure in their professional role and to be able to provide our patients with good and safe care. We offer you a long introduction adapted to your previous experiences, aiming for you to feel confident once the introduction is complete. After that, you will always work alongside an experienced colleague.

The neonatal unit belongs to the Child and Adolescent Medicine area, which also includes a clinic and ward for children and adolescents up to 18 years of age, along with associated child daycare and play therapy.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse in neonatal care, you design care in collaboration with guardians and colleagues based on each child's specific condition and needs. This provides challenging tasks with breadth and variety, as well as good opportunities for professional development. The work is performed in teams with assistant nurses/pediatric assistants and doctors. We offer you an introduction adapted to your previous experiences.

Rotation shifts including days, evenings, and nights, working on weekdays, weekends, and public holidays.

Newly hired nurses work days and evenings on weekdays, weekends, and public holidays but are exempt from night work initially.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with an interest in pediatric care. Experience from neonatal care is not a requirement. You will receive an introduction together with an experienced nurse/pediatric nurse.

It is meritorious if you have specialized nurse education in health and medical care for children and adolescents or previous experience of neonatal care.

You take initiative and work independently when necessary, but are also flexible and good at collaborating. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
