We work with children and young people up to 18 years of age, primarily within pediatric medicine, surgery, and orthopedics, but also in areas such as ENT, ophthalmology, and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). The pediatric ward belongs to the Pediatric Medicine department, and we also collaborate with the Day Care Unit, the Child Health Center, and the Neonatal Unit. We have our own play therapy service with an employed preschool teacher.

Here, you work together with colleagues from many different professions, bringing both specialized expertise and broad skills to the table. Together, we inspire and uplift each other! We work in teams consisting of nurses and nursing assistants.

Job Responsibilities

The pediatric ward has 8 beds. Almost all our operations consist of emergency admissions, although planned admissions and investigations also occur. The work is highly varied as several different clinical specialties are combined on the same ward.

We rotate between day, evening, and night shifts. The introduction period is adapted to your previous experience.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a Pediatric Nurse or a Registered Nurse. You do not need prior experience working in a pediatric ward, but experience working with children is considered an asset. As a person, you are proactive, flexible, and meticulous. You have good collaboration skills and can work independently when required. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

The introduction is adapted to your previous experience, and you will shadow an experienced nurse. If you are interested in observing for a day or have questions/concerns, please feel free to contact the Unit Manager.
