Torsgården – a welcoming care home with a focus on dementia
Torsgården is a pleasant and welcoming specialized care home located in the scenic Lönashult, approximately three miles south of Alvesta town. The facility consists of three units – Boken, Eken, and Lönnen.
Our operations are Silviahemscertified, meaning all employees have extensive basic training in dementia care. Our approach is person-centered and based on the four cornerstones: symptom control, family support, teamwork, and communication, to achieve the highest possible quality of life for the person with dementia and their relatives.

Job Description
As a Nursing Assistant with us, you are a vital part of creating security, care, and quality of life for the elderly. You are someone who sees the person behind the needs and meets every individual with respect and warmth. In your daily work, you provide support based on each person's needs, for example:
- Assisting with getting up and going to bed
- Assisting with meals
- Delegated health and medical care tasks
- Encouraging participation in, and joining activities
An important part of your role is to collaborate with colleagues, nurses, and other professionals at the care home. Together, you plan the day and support each other when needed, especially during more demanding shifts. You also maintain contact with relatives and contribute to creating a sense of security for them as well.
Qualifications
- Approved education from the Care and Assistance Program or other equivalent education.
- Ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
- Previous experience in care work and knowledge of dementia are meritorious.
