Do you want to help shape healthcare for our elderly?

Within the clinic, we focus on orthogeriatrics, but geriatric care is about the whole person. In our work, we strive in various ways to contribute to the patient being able to maintain their functions for as long as possible.

We work in teams to meet the specific needs of elderly patients. The teams consist of doctors, nurses, assistant nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, and secretaries. All professional categories assess the patient's condition, and a summary is made at the team conference, where an individual plan is created. There is close cooperation with the municipality and primary care.

The acute geriatrics unit has a care ward and an osteoporosis clinic with great development opportunities. Our vision for the clinic is to create virtual care places in collaboration with the Elderly Health project in Kronoberg.

We have a good work climate with great commitment. We are looking for a junior doctor with great commitment who wants to grow and develop with us.

Job Responsibilities

The work as a junior doctor with us involves opportunities for development within other medical disciplines within geriatrics, such as acute care, internal medicine, palliative care, and rehabilitation for the elderly.

We hire all our new colleagues with the intention of building a good team, i.e., we also have supervisors linked to all junior doctors and specialist trainees (ST doctors) at the clinic so that supervision and planning for education take place.

Working hours are daytime, Monday–Friday. On-call duties are not included.

Qualifications

A medical degree is required for employment. It is meritorious if you have a license as a doctor issued by the National Board of Health and Welfare. It is also meritorious if you have completed internship (AT/BT), but this is not a requirement.

We want you to be interested in caring for the elderly and to be good at collaborating. You should be responsive, engaged, and responsible. It is important that you enjoy working in close collaboration with all the clinic's employees.

You have good communication skills and good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
