About the job
As a System Engineer specializing in Linux servers, you will operate, monitor, maintain and manage servers within the team's area of responsibility. The Infrastructure and Operations unit is currently undergoing change to meet future needs, both organizationally and in the area of IT operations. Therefore, we are now looking for you who want to further develop our server operations and build up the agency's operations organization to be able to handle larger commitments regarding internal operations in the future.
We are a large IT department with approximately 450 employees, which gives you the opportunity to focus on the issues you are best at, but also to exchange experiences and competence with other experienced employees in all areas.

You will
- be part of a competent team and have the opportunity to help shape the agency's server operations
- operate, maintain and manage servers within the team's area of responsibility
- install, configure and troubleshoot systems in our IT environment
- optimize and develop systems with a proactive purpose
- act as a specialist/expert support within your area of responsibility and participate in various projects.
Weekly on-call duty according to a rolling schedule may become relevant.
You must have
- education in IT or equivalent knowledge acquired through working life experience that we assess as equivalent
- several years of current working experience as a system engineer in the operation of Linux servers
- good knowledge of Red Hat (RHEL) or Ubuntu
- experience of working in organizations with large technical environments in complex system landscapes
- good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing.
It is meritorious if you also have
- experience in system administration
- experience/knowledge of scripting and automation with Ansible
- working life experience and good knowledge of Windows server
- experience/knowledge of container technology e.g. Kubernetes or Docker.

The position is permanent with placement in Örebro. Appointment according to agreement. We normally apply a probationary period. An employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security investigation with register control according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted. For some of our security-classed tasks, Swedish citizenship is required.
